TEGOMER V-SI 4042

TEGOMER V-Si 4042 is a solvent free, reactive polysiloxane additive that provides several key benefits for advanced material formulations. As an additive for thermosetting resins and elastomers, TEGOMER V-Si 4042 enhances surface characteristics, lubrication and melt flow. It enables excellent compatibility between flame retardants and advanced material polymers. TEGOMER V-Si 4042 supports char formation and improves flame retardant properties like LOI, while allowing for low smoke formulations. As a processing aid, TEGOMER V-Si 4042 improves extrusion of loaded compounds containing carbon black or mineral fillers. It reduces compound viscosity at higher shear forces, increasing capacity and efficiency. TEGOMER V-Si 4042 does not negatively impact mechanical properties of advanced material end products.
