MODIFIER 705

MODIFIER 705 is a SiH-terminated polydimethyl siloxane modifier used as a plasticizer in addition-curing silicones. Due to its difunctional structure, MODIFIER 705 does not react by cross-linking, but by extending the chains of vinyl-terminated silicone polymers. Use of MODIFIER 705 reduces the crosslinking density and therefore the elastomer hardness. MODIFIER 705 allows obtaining products with a low Shore hardness, even when using low- viscosity vinyl polymers. This makes MODIFIER 705 suitable for formulations in the advanced materials industry that require low viscosity prior to crosslinking and low Shore hardness after crosslinking. MODIFIER 705 is an important modifier for formulations in the advanced materials industry as it allows for obtaining materials with low hardness and flexibility.
